Hey Engberg! That picture of you is quite...ah, forget it. There are no words to describe this look. Next time i am in Denver, I will be sure to look you up. I'll be the one heckling from the back. hahaha....

I am learning to play guitar just so I can play that song from Juno. It is three chords so I think maybe it won't take me much more than a few months to master.

Come visit Hawaii one day...we are a state now.

I like the tone of the blog too. Chatty, informative and easy to read. will keep across it whenever I get space

Hey Mike,
I am glad you made it over the Red Mountain Pass. I wasn't looking forward to begin searching for another teacher !
My compliments on a well written website. You really should get started on that novel soon.

I can verify that you ditched gym class & hid in the practice rooms at the high school. Can't wait to see your buff-ness. We just bought the third guitar for #1 son who's starting classical guitar lessons. I'm starting to understand - nay appreciate, why you have ten guitars.

Not the best birthday ever huh? At least nobody poured out your apple cider this time. Calling yourself a "morning person" is a bit of an understatement isn't it? You are likely to wake up at 4am and attempt to carry on an intelligible conversation about taoism or something equally thought provoking with listeners who can barely grunt! When you're in our neck of the woods again it's ok to wake up early as long as you just shut up and play with your E.V. Dick. We'll look the other way. BTW, the oldest child, adversely and evily influenced by you in the womb, has now turned into a "normal" teenager who is capable of sleeping until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Genes win!

Fascinating stuff, Mike! Don't be surprised if I call you "Iowa Jones" from now on. Let me know if you'd like me to write a press release promoting your upcoming CD.

You really write a lot about guitars..... I guess that comes with the territory though. :)
